🕯️ On this solemn feast of All Souls’ Day, we at Catholic Walkers pause our steps to remember all the faithful departed.
🙏🏻 We pray: “Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.”
🔥 In faith we hold the hope that even after death there is purification, a merciful fire of love that readies the soul for the beatific vision. (See 1 Cor 3:15 • 2 Macc 12:46 • 1 Pet 1:7)
📖 As the Catechism teaches:
“All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified… undergo purification…” (CCC 1030)
So we walk on, carrying their memory with us, offering our prayers and our alms, trusting in God’s mercy and the Communion of saints.
